As Illumina's first and only UX professional, I conducted ethnographic research and all interaction design activities for the MiSeq Desktop Sequencer, Illumina's most important product launched in 2011. I was also responsible for the interaction design and design management of several ancillary desktop and web applications to support instrument operation.
