competition submission - The design rises up to connect earth with sky, past with future, honoring the fallen in a symbolic restoration of the missing towers.
Ground below the South tower is devoted to the final resting place of the unidentified remains. A thin skin of water flows over the surface signifying peace and purity.
The footprint of the North tower is reserved as a place of gathering for group meditation and public events.
