Utility Belt, Rhino render - This belt is a result of editing a lifestyle into products. I wanted to develope several artifacts that address issues in the realm of cycling left undone by major manufacturers. This belt has hex keys built into the buckle. They function as hex keys but also as a visual element. The normal buttons of a belt are replaced with master links from a bicycle chain for easy on the road repairs.

Seat post+, Rhino render - This seat post was designed to incorporate new function to existing parts of a bicycle. By adding a socket function to the end of the post, the seat can be used as a t-handled wrench. I intend to help reduce the need to carry tools on a bike ride. This post is developed for non-quick release wheels.

Bar Enders - This artifact was the result of a couple design problems. I wanted a new approach to designing BMX components that raise awareness in the industry about adult "kid's bike" riders. Also, I wanted to make bicycles more appealing to college aged people so by adding a new function of bottle opener to the standard bar end, it may be "cool" to go out for a ride instead of populating the local drinking establishment. J-PEG rules! See "exhibition" Photo for a better view of the insallation.
Senior Exhibition, 2006, DeVos Art Gallery, Northern Michigan University - Its quality not quantity, right?
Hub shell, Rhino rendering - Just an experiment with texture wrapping and Rhino functions. ready for the CNC machine!
Futon as a Quarter Pipe!?! Rhino render - Materials: Steel, Wood, P/U Foam. Yeah, your mother may not approve of this in her house but now that you arer on your own, shouldn't you have some fun? This concept incorporates several aspects of the BMX experience: a place to ride year round, a place for road weary friends traveling from afar, and comfortable seating. I hope to get a response from the growing number of GenX/Y types approaching near-middle age. Do you recognize the artwork on the wall?
