My Desk Is My Castle

You do not only work at your desk, it is also a mirror of your personality, just like your clothing. Aware or unaware of that, everybody transforms his desk into his own private space. The project dealt with personal things on desks and analysed their similarities and differences in the working areas of banks, administrations, call centers and design agencies. Since the project was a great success in Cologne, it also took place at most of the European and international partner universitys of KISD. I supported the project at the German University Cairo as an academic tutor in 2010. In 2012, the book My Desk is my Castle - Exploring Personalization Cultures (in italic) was published by Birkhäuser.
