Zachary Massos

This is a bike helmet I designed for a junior design studio class. The objective was to improve on a user experience aspect of a bike helmet. I choose to focus my design around advanced protection and ventilation. I executed this by incorporating a material called Koroyd into my design, for it is 30% better at absorbing shock than high density foam and has natural ventilation. The design of the helmet is to maximize the aesthetic of the material as well as its ventilation properties thus the hole in the front to take in air and the hole in the back to dispel the warm air inside the helmet.
