Cutlery shape study project. At the time I got fascinated by Peltogyne Venosa a central South American hardwood with a purple core. The touch of nature made me feel for primitive shapes that embodied the woods charisma. The hi-polish exposes a sensual deep side that already came obvious in the soft red wine aroma of the wood dust. The wood is of exceptional hardness and chemical resistance but UV exposure makes the purple fade to grey. So this work remains in the dark for preservation.
