Scaled Wooden LEGO 300% Purple Heart Wood and 500% Multi Wood Species Minifig Minifigure
I enjoy playing with scale; from miniatures to blowing up in size. Back in 2011 I had an idea of making a wooden LEGO Minifigure, then the idea was set aside for a few years after finished drawing the LEGO Minifigure. It was the beginning of 2014 when I kick off the project by gluing a whole bunch of different species of wood into chunks and machined the LEGO Minifigure scaling up to 500%. First one was completed March 2014. It was so addicting, I made 3 more in solid maple the following 3 months. Then I decided to make a smaller version (but still bigger than the original LEGO Minifigure) out of purple heart wood scaling at 300%. In 2015, 3 more 500% version was made out of walnut. Everything is to scale with ~95% accuracy. All parts articulate the way it's supposed to. They also can be pulled apart. They do not snap into each other. Parts slide into together with very minimal friction. Purple heart 300% version uses rare earth magnets and steel plates to keep the parts together.
