Material and Process (Plastic)
During this course, we explored with different kind of plastics and learned its properties.
For my final product, I decided to make a clutch using clear PVC ( Polyvinyl chloride ) sheet as I like the outcome after it's heated and stretched. It is soft, flexible and has a low melting point, it is easy to deform and work with.
The PVC after heat blowing, it starts expanding and gives an organic form. Due to the expansion after heat, it makes the clutch more spacious inside.
For the inner base, I have used Rexine sheet (which is also plastic) with a simple locking device which locks well and easy to handle.
