THIS IS... - This is... an early version of my business card & identity system. It was later abandoned for the series on the right, (3 of 5 shown). Machines, such as guns, are robbed of their nastier bits, and replaced with whimsical phrases, like 'Binge wallow' or 'Often empty'.
The Lifesaver - This home/office fire extinguisher features a toroidal pressure vessel... a form better suited for using, storing, and containing pressurized fluids.
The PhonoGraph - This small and portable record player, designed primarily for 45's, offers a contemporary twist on a product with classic appeal.
Arcor Retriever Toy for Kids - This form development study is based on a children's book by Lemony Snicket, called 'the Series of Unfortunate Events'. In it, the recently orphaned, Violet Baudelaire dreams of an invention that gets back skipping stones after they've been thrown.
The Apocalyptic Butterflies - This sequential art illustrates 'The Apocalyptic Butterflies Whose Expressions are Ambiguous', a short story by Kevin Barnes. In it, a group of angry butterflies capture their pursuer and abscond with him to the cold recesses of space, where they make him watch as they destroy the world. The story is displayed in a wall-mounted reliquary, inspired by Droog Design.
