Done during my Master's in Visual Art, 2013-2015, this was a project that attempted to highlight a connection between the hurry-buy-at-discount culture prevalent in my middle-class Delhi neighbourhood. The larger connection is between a culture of mindless consumption and mindless accumulation. I designed these fictitious pamphlets as advertisements for the 'sale sale' of items in my household that have been turned into trash as a result of neglect and no real desire for them in the first place. I put these pamphlets under newspapers, in the fashion of actual 'sale sale' pamphlets that we get in our home, tucked under our newspapers. The design of the poster was also a direct copy of one of these posters.
