Fortress Predel Battery
Predel battery (battery Predilsattel), was one of six forts in Carinthia that block the way to the valley Ilyich and forth in the center of Austria. The fort was built as a fortress in support Rabeljske lake. Since the beginning of the First World War, like most fortifications obsolete, never serve a genuine purpose, so it was soon after the war disarmed. Her three guns were transferred to the cavern a few hundred feet above the fort, from which all the rest of the war shelled Italian positions around the Sella Pass. Today, the fort still be seen, but it is in very poor condition.
