The Walgreens Card Finder was a project that I started because of a difficult experience I had finding the right greeting card at Walgreens. This negative experience inspired me to look for solutions. I visited three supermarket/grocery store chains that sold greeting cards and documented their pain points and advantages. By doing this, I studied the different variations of wayfinding used to help guide customers to their desired cards. Next, I conducted task analysis by asking three participants to find three types of greeting cards depending on each scenario, which provided me with real user feedback. Also, I had the honor of interviewing a former graphic designer at Hallmark to gather crucial details on the design process of Hallmark greeting card wayfinding and trends.
Considering how technology has had an increasing prevalence in user assistance for our shopping experience, I created the UI for a kiosk including Walgreens Card Finder, a prototype that I developed on Figma.
