Ames Spot
FAULDERS STUDIO | Designer. WATCH VIDEO IN LINK. An Ames room is a room whose geometry is distorted to create an optical illusion. As a result of the illusion, a person standing in one corner appears to the observer to be much larger than a person standing in the opposite corner. The illusion is so effective that a person moving in the space appears to grow or shrink. By re-inventing the room into a circular version, the Ames Room was reconsidered in a contemporary context as a means to describe the parametric relationship between moving bodies and viewer perception. Video produced by Robert Rhee.
