Golden Arm for Arnaud Assoumani, french paralympic athlete
Arnaud Assoumani is a french Paralympic athlete multi-medaled and recordman in his specialty, the long jump. He has launched a competition with the newspaper l'Équipe for the London 2012 Games, concerning the design of his future prosthesis and with comics as main thematic.
The legend says that it was after the bite of a mutant hornet, called "Golden Vespa" that Arnaud developed speed capabilities, spring and superhuman pulse.
His prosthesis, symbol of the shell created by the hearing aid takes graphics and formal codes of the flying insect, bright and powerful.
Golden arm, in Custoprothetik's spirit, also catch the eye of others, its strong graphical appearance arouses curiosity and make overpass the disability.
Just like a tattoo, the graphic customization and formal prosthesis allows this type of medicine object - initially rather impersonal - a statement of personality and a easy ownership for its user.
