This is one of the first illustrations that I did that was completely digital, from rough sketch to finish.
Sugar skulls have a beautiful history in the Mexican culture, and have become somewhat mainstream and popular. When I got this commission, I was pretty excited as I had never done a "skull" before.
I worked with the client's request for colors and took it from there.
