Winters of 2009 and 2011, Flash/Animate CC. Here's a rare chance I had to design some characters from the ground up. The goal was to have caricatures that would retain some gravitas as the exhibit had a large educational component. I really enjoyed finding the aspects of their faces that could be exaggerated, while respecting the seriousness of the office that they held. I created six animate-able bodies that could be modified to carry any presidential head. Eventually, the most important were placed in the Oval Office with interactive elements that hi-lighted their achievements and personal traits. I adapted White House backgrounds that we had previously made for different animations, modifying and increasing their complexity.
