TRAINING WHEELS MOBILE APP
Training Wheels is a mobile app dedicated to building stronger cycling communities. The app was idealized in response to apps like Strava, which track routes and times for cyclist, but fail to create an inclusive community around the interest. After seeing the popularity of large and community led cycling rides the idea of a social platform built with the intent to indoctrinate new riders into larger cycling communities was proposed. The app has 4 main goals:
– Connecting riders to local bike shops
– Connecting riders with the city through providing bike-friendly routes
– Connecting riders with the cycling community through user-shared or business-sponsored rides and events via a community calendar
– Connecting riders with their friends to share and plan routes and rides.
