The Humanity Project was a personal photography project I decided to start as an answer to the racial issues in America. The series is a collection of portrayals questioning the perceptions of black masculinity through the now popular beard. Through combining the grit and roughness of beards with close and personal images showing the true humanity of black men, I wanted to create a mirror image of black male existence in America through photography.
