Final Product!
I started out simple by figuring out the shape i wanted the buckle. I then added a background and the USU logo over top.
I then turned the idea into a simple outline to get the proportions and elevations correct.
After a couple of 3D prints i came to a design that had elevations and proportions that I liked.
I went back to pen and paper to decide what I wanted some of the details to look closer to.
Finally I sent in my reference materials and worked with my manufacture in getting a 3D mock up and finalized the design
