Above: Mid-way through the design process for the Children's Library, the concept for the main feature was unresolved and lacking clear direction as to how to proceed. On my own initiative, I pitched the concept of "Little Library, Big City" to BPL Leadership. The concept drew upon other Boston-specific themes that were coalescing in other parts of the room at the time. The idea was well-received and the concept was approved as a directive for the design team where it was further developed into what eventually became "StoryScape".
