Jewish students had no real place to call home at Kent State University to serve its growing members. Armed with only an artist drawing of the new student center and the dream of building it one day, a fundraising brochure was needed to start raising money from Hillel alumni and surrounding communities.
Creating a die-cut brochure “flap” that opens and builds to reveal students are the real foundation of Hillel. The new building holds a promise of providing students with a safe and fun environment to gather.
The new building today looks nothing like this original drawing, but enough money was raised and Cohn Jewish Student Center stands proud and serves as a second home to students of Kent State and Akron Universities.
