SkinSafe was designed in response to the increasing incidence of skin cancer around the world. Habitual or excessive UV exposure is the primary cause. Risk is determined by age, skin type and UV levels. Using these variables, the device provides the user with a unique time allowance for safe exposure, alerting them when they must cover up. It also evaluates the protection provided by the user’s sunscreen and alerts them when they should re-apply.
