The other show is the significant retrospective of the career of Edwin Holgate (1892-1977), a central figure in Montreal's art community as well as the history of Canadian art, features 150 works.

www.edgesofconflict.com - The changing nature of armed conflict since the end of the Cold War and the events of September 11th presents challenges to the normative framework laid out in the 1949 Geneva Conventions. Humanitarians, the military and civil society face uncertainty on the edges of today’s armed conflict.
In order to tackle these challenges, the Liu Institute for Global Issues and the Canadian Red Cross have joined in a unique partnership in this research project.

Over 90 expert Canadian relief workers have been sent to tsunami-affected communities to work in areas, such as: health, nursing, medicine, water sanitation, finance, logistics, and disaster management.
Relief workers are in daily contact with beneficiaries and their stories reflect the human face of tsunami relief and recovery efforts.
