The design communicates exactly what it needs to. Taking inspiration from the evergreen boombox, the design captures that mentality of wanting to carry your music with you. The LED panel on the front doesn’t obstruct the speakers, but instead utilizes the dead space between the two speaker units. The speakers are mounted on ceramic frames and then inserted into the plastic unibody. These ceramic frames maintain audio fidelity by not transferring vibrations to the plastic outer body. The design can be manufactured in a variety of techniques using different materials like PC, ABS, LLDPE, or even Fiberglass. All these materials have the ability to take impact and not damage, making the design sturdy and tough.

HiMood Entry #1

hi!Mood was a speaker design competition organised by Desall.com. This my entry for that competition. The first jambox to be wi-fi enabled and to have mood lighting. The design blends fashion/funky with geeky/cool to create a very desirable device. Available in the most eye-catching color combinations suiting both subtle and loud tastes, the design caters to a very vast audience. In addition to pumping out high-fidelity audio, it also creates the perfect ambiance enjoying music. Any room with this device can easily be converted into a discotheque, lounge, or even a spa, based on your mood!
