Inspired by 70's space age design. The Shroomy Lamp is a study of form, construction, and functionality. It started as an idea heavily based on the Umbo shelving system, and how a product could seamlessly incorporate aesthetics while maintaining seamless functionality.
The lamp consists of an upper storage section that can be closed seamlessly. The bottom half of the lamp houses all the electronics and the main lighting unit. The turn activated switch turns on a series of L.E.D.'s housed in a translucent ring that direct the light downwards. This creates a calm lighting effect and a very approachable product.
