The XVX Homage concept is an modern interpretation of the legendary Isuzu VehiCross, often called the “VX”. Drawing inspiration from the iconic styling cues of the original, the XVX (Xtreme VehiCross) interprets them through the lense of modern automotive design language trends and technology.
The unmistakeable black polypropylene lower panels of the original VehiCross have been sharpened, flared, and reimagined in carbon fiber on the XVX. The upper bodywork maintains some of the smoother curvatures that defined the original Vehicross, creating a visually pleasing stylistic juxtaposition against the angular lower panels. The more hardcore XVX “Dakar” version features a wider offset stance, larger wheels, additional fog and top-mounted lighting, large intake openings in the fascia, and a double-spoiler in the rear. From above, a nod to the nomenclature is represented by the exposed carbon “V” shape of the hood that flows into the “X” on the roof.
