Cubist West is a Mixed use project with proposed separate buildings for a retail space, restaurant, and condominiums. The focus here is the Condos. The design concept for the Cubist West project is Urban Contemporary married with features reflecting the location and Cubism in a unique way. Stylistic elements from cubism that will be interpreted into the Urban Contemporary design concept include, a cubist color scheme blue, green, gray, yellow, a variety of textures and sleek geo- metric lines and shapes. Inspired by features from the surround location include colors of the Sacramento River, the glow and the unique views of the Ziggurat building. The design is also based on the functionality of the environment with the concept of having the community in mind where you can work, shop, dine, play and live.
