As I grew my illustration network in Baltimore, an opportunity presented itself to create an invitation suite that incorporated my illustration work for Baltimore Bride magazine. In Baltimore, there are two iconic characters for the city, Natty Boh and Sally Utz. Smyth jewelers (in Baltimore) made their relationship "famous" by having Natty Boh propose to Sally on one of their billboards. Tasked to create an invitation for a faux couple, who better to design for than Boh and Sally? Baltimore is full of icons, from Boh & Sally to crabs and Domino Sugars, the city is proud of it's heritage. Partnering with a friend of mine we embraced all of Baltimore's icons, creating the perfect wedding invitation for Boh & Sally. One problem, trademark! Baltimore Bride was unable to publish the invitation that showed Boh & Sally together.. so we improvised. But I included that file design here for your enjoyment.
