BCycle Dash
BCycle identified and opportunity to develop a new platform that would move the "smart" components from the docking system to the bike. This new platform would not only create a more flexible bike for the user, it would cut the cost of the system in half. The bike incorporates a color touchscreen that allows users to unlock the bike, see ride metrics and receive turn-by-turn directions. In the rear of the bike, an electromechanical lock interfaces with a supplied U-Lock which allows users to lock their bike to dedicated "Dash Docks", municipal racks or any stationary object. As the Design Lead on this project I was responsible for developing the industrial design direction for the Bike, Dock, Kiosk and U-Lock. I was also charged with developing the graphics packages for the bike and components along with design direction for the Graphical User Interface for the HMI display and companion app.
