In 3D CAD rendering the devil is in the details. Moreover, I see CG renders too often strive to achieve 'perfection'. However, the details that bring true photographic realism are actually the imperfections of the real world. Dust, dirt, scratches, unclean materials and camera nuances such as chromatic aberration. This render was 'grunged down' and adjusted to make it exactly the above, imperfect, and in doing so, comparatively more realistic than the raw rendered output. CAD Model from GrabCad, rendered by myself in Keyshot 5 with post in Photoshop.
