The translucent white organza garment artistically fuses a literal representation of Holland with Indian techniques and cliches. This garment features the map of Holland using the three colors in its flag. The surface of the map has been generated using round bindis - a traditionally inherent Indian concept that is an integral part of every Indian women’s life. Supporting this in equal measure are embroidered circles, another Indian legacy.

Indulgent and luxurious - the silhouette of this garment is identical to that of a wine bottle. It’s soft roundness at the bottom is contrasted by a narrow top. The garment comprises of a corset, puffed skirt and a leather band. Supporting and accessorising it with a glamour quotient is a black eye mask. This mask is indicative of the cork and has been embroidered to show the subdued elegant graphical ornamentation of wine bottles.

Soft Geometry
Humanity is always wanting to leave it’s mark in the world. For a day. A year. A century. It doesn’t matter. All have the same intention of leaving behind a mark that changes the landscape for those who follow. She created her own identity…she may only have had 15 minutes of fame, but her style and image influenced a whole generation.
From centuries, paisley is been used timelessly in the form of prints, embroideries and surface ornamentation. I have tried to take paisleys to a different act of performance. Projecting paisleys over one another, taking them through a gradation of colors from gold to white, and a gradation of dimensions as well while going down, creates the fabric for the dress! Rejecting the classic colors that are always in use with paisleys, the palette of golds and white is taken to get over with that look!
