Slavery in New York is the New York Historical Society's landmark exhibition that exposed emerging research regarding the history of slavery in New York City to record breaking visitation at the Society. The exhibition planning process spanned nine months and included concept design, schematic design, contract documents, a bid process, fabrication and installation. Slavery i New York displays a variety of commissioned artworks, documents, and dimensional artifacts as well as media environments and media interactives. As lead exhibition designer on the project, I worked with the curatorial group American history Workshop to design all dimensional elements of this exhibition. The construction and installation of the exhibition met budget and timeline milestones.
