Mezzanine... your Guests will relax while they wait.... and not want to leave!
Materials were chosen specifically as a blend of the past ( Stone, wood) mixing with contemporary products ( stretch ceiling) , The soft neutral color palette of grey, whites, blacks, browns keeps the look timeless rather than dated. The cool neutral tones lends comfort and tranquility offset by the warmth of the wood furnishings creating a balance of opposites.

Adding ADA ramps proved too costly as the facade/main door would need to be altered to facilitate a ramp that is code compliant. In addition, the mezzanine egress would also change as a result and become non compliant.

Lobby &Mezzanine Design CONDO

LOBBY DESIGN plays upon the existing mid-century architecture using MARBLE, GRANITE, LEDGE stone, etc... Every item was chosen based on existing conditions, ease of maintenance, and budget (for 2 levels main and mezzanine).
The upgrade has no construction elements as this would force code compliancy with ADA, electrical, etc becoming the project with escalating infinite costs :
1. new lighting/specialty ceiling - crystal chandeliers that shimmer off the black STRETCH CEILING- a ceiling that looks like midnight liquid glasstop. 2. "SKIMKOTE" concrete flooring- best application to cover up damaged terrazzo which couldn't be restored. 3. wall paper removal/skimcoat of walls- Why fight the conditions of the walls when you can enhance it and give it that aged patina resplendent of a european villa? 4. New furnishings that evoke midcentury design.
Its a blend of hotel chique and mid cent eclectic.
