Collaboration with Rémi CHASSAGNE, Maxime KERNEIS et Zoé VIOLETTE
. Sculpture created for the "first sundays" event at Les Champs Libres, Rennes
. Displayed between the 15th December 2014 and the 12th January 2015.
In the Timée Dialogue, Plato describes a family of solids, matching each one with one of the four elements. With the icosaedron he associated water, which flows through our bare hands as if it was made of microscopic balls.
Our glance turns around the object while it seems to avoid our perceptions. We need the highlighted pentagons within to fully understand its construction principle.
The sculpture is a link between the ending of the international chemistry year devoted to crystallography, and the beginning of a new one focused on light.
