The Durham Consolidated Courthouse (DCC) is a contemporary 450,000-square-foot integrated, energy-efficient facility with LEED Gold certification. Upon opening, was the most technologically advanced courthouse in Ontario. The courthouse boasts 33 courtrooms, three motion rooms, a large jury assembly room with capacity for 300 people. DCC is fully accessible, including a juried courtroom equipped for simultaneous interpretation for members of the gallery. Patty was part of the Interior Design Team, worked extensively on FF+E, led the design for the Art and Archives display strategy, and supported the team during construction administration.
