Ham Costume for Scout - I constructed this ham costume out of foam and canvas and bendable tube to fit costume designer, Maggie Dick's vision. It is covered in a light weight cotton spandex.

Rendering of Ham Costume, costume design by Maggie Dick - This costume was created for the 12 year old actress portraying Scout in The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 2011 version of "To Kill a Mockingbird". This costume is fully padded with foam so the actress could fall to the ground and roll around after losing her balance in an attack. The ham costume also features a canvas harness to make sure it rests on her shoulders and two handles so she can manipulate the costume from inside.
