Before- Hampton VA Residential Kitchen - Used as a townhome rental for the past 20 years, the objective was to create a safe and updated kitchen to place the home on the market. The interior bottom cabinets were deteriorating with mold and water damage with a couple of resident black widows. The upper cabinets were sticky inside and out. The garbage disposal had been filled with twigs among other surprises we found thoughout the house. Upon demolition, we found molded drywall behind the base cabinets which we replaced.
After- Hampton VA Residential Kitchen - A lazy susan was added in the upper corner cabinet for easier access to items. Pull out drawers to the left of the stove provided more drawer space for smaller cooking utensils. I created my own template to drill for the metric hardware, as Home Depot only carried American templates. I chose to mount the lower pulls horizontal to hang towels. Due to time constraints, all work from demolition to construction of the kitchen were physically done by my husband and I in 3 weeks.
