Furniture Design
Furniture Design - In a furniture design class we were to design a full furniture suite and produce an actual sample. I was inspired by a picture a chair that came in the mail from the David Alan Collection. Having visited Hawaii and in the spirit of Aloha, I wanted to create a chair that would also store shoes once taken off.
The tallboy and side table are cantilevered with individual drawers. The ceiling mounted bed has cantilevered drawers hung underneath to provide easy access for a vaccumn.
