Self-Contained Design Process (RAPID)
This project showcases my ability to take an idea from inception through prototyping and into production. In
one week I was able to visualize a vehicle concept, map it to the correct 1/12th" scale (6" human figure, respectively), and then physically create an FDM 3D printed model entirely in-house.
I began by sketching some LandSpeeder concepts inspired by the STAR WARS movie universe exploring form language that I hadn't ever seen used in the manner I was envisioning. I then refined this design and 3D modeled a fully functioning version of it to a 1/12" scale. Parts co-mate nicely and many items fit snug with tolerances being taken into careful consideration.
