Year 1 Spring Project 3: Lines
Project 3 was an exploration of form making through the use of lines. After studying different methods of creating form via lines, the program and site were revealed to be a lifeguard tower in Venice Beach, with accommodations for a lifeguard and an area for first-aid treatment. Because the site was a sunny beach, I used different densities of lines to create varying degrees of shade and opacity. The "medical bay" at the bottom is surrounded on 3 sides by a high-density screen for privacy, while the observation deck walls have a lower opacity for higher visibility of the surrounding environment.
