Daddy long-legs Spider are found in every continent in the world except Antarctica where it is too cold for them to survive. The animal's legs—its most striking observable feature—are so long that they would seem (if vertical) to prevent its mouth from getting close to whatever it walks upon.
The daddy long-legs spider has never harmed a human and there is no evidence that they are dangerous to humans.. The legend may result from the fact that the daddy long-legs spider preys upon deadly venomous spiders so they can also prey upon humans.
Prototype of spider's skin has been developed in this picture.
In reality, it is able to cast lengths of silk onto its prey, incapacitating them from a safe distance. However, the legend may simply be a type of "thrill" story about an ordinary, familiar object alleged to represent something dangerous or dramatic.
