I was asked to make a more ventilated version of an existing helmet. Both would be released in the same year, but this new one was going to be sold specifically to the European market. This is an opening price point helmet so manufacturing construction is at a minimum. This was not a ground up project, but more of a manipulation of an existing one. I did have to make sure it passed testing and that it including MIPS and the appropriate mechanisms. This actually tested very well in CE, but also with the tougher CPSC test line as well.
