Spirits of the Wild

Spirits of the Wild was part of Mattel's 2018 line of two-player games. I was given full freedom to design the game; the only stipulation being the player count.

I had an image in my head of two people seated across from each other taking turns pulling stones from a bowl. From there it was just a matter of exploring the mechanics, balancing the interactions, and nailing down the theme.
