While interesting, the zipper construction was little hard for the average consumer to complete. Eventually I found an easier construction that anyone could do.
Using a tongue and slots, I was able to find a method of assembly that can be used on future styles and anyone can do.
When you sew a replacement button onto a shirt, it becomes yours in a unique and powerful way. By leaving the assembly to the customer, the product becomes more a part of them than if they had simply bought a leather box.
