I had the idea for a keyring with two caps. One of them permanent, the other knurled and removable.
The helix curve allows the keys to rest in their most natural position. That makes them compact. It also lets them splay out evenly, which looks get on the shelf...
Open and closed varieties. Each uses the spiraling curve to spread the keys.
