V15 Safety Interior - Part of a body of work exploring active safety measures in automotive interiors. This interior's main feature is an active knee bolster designed to "trap" unbelted occupants lower extremities before they are able to slip under a deploying airbag. Sensors tell a central processing unit whether the passengers are belted or not, how much they weigh and their positioning. The force with which the bolster deploys is then matched to those conditions.
V15 HVAC Control Unit - Part of a body of work exploring active safety measures in automotive interiors. This is an HVAC unit that flips down in the event of a collision, keeping it from causing injuries (sharp surfaces) while also preventing damage to the unit itself.
