This class is typically the first class that students in the Digital Communications major take, and is a foundation exposing the student to software and design principles.
This assignment, approximately half way through the InDesign portion of the class, was to create a promotional poster for a music performance event. Colors and imagery to reflect the tone of the music genre they choose. Students chose one specific artist, concert or a festival-style event.
Specific requirements included size, information about the event and performers, with demonstrating knowledge of graphic file types, color, text placement, and served as an introduction to mounting work and large format printing.
