Mona Kalo

LAUMC-RH is a hospital located in Achrafieh, Lebanon. A competition was held amongst LAU design students to renovate the Pediatrics Department.

The space of the department is very small. That is why in my project i focused on optimizing the space usage in order to fit more in this small space.

After researching about ergonomics and transformable furniture, i came up with a design based on the octagon because that is the shape inside the beehive where bees fit a lot into such little space.
