This was a short project. We had to work with someone we had never met before and strike up a conversation where you would find out as much as possible about them.
We then had to design and create a gift for them.
The person I teamed up with was an architect student who's ambition was to move to New York. She mentioned that she really enjoyed her time there once and that it would be the only city that she could ever live in as she's more of a countryside person.
I made her this "Big Apple" photo frame for her to frame her memory of her past travels there, but also to encourage her to frame the moment she makes her dream come true by moving there.
I drew it out by hand, and then traced created it in Illustrator with the intention of having it laser cut, but due to the cutter being out of order I created it all by hand.
