BIM on a residential complex.
To gain insight in devising BIM implementation strategy and to analyze the benefits and disadvantages of BIM, a five-storey residential building was chosen in Delhi. During the project 3D model was prepared, interior designing was done and family editor was used to make doors, windows and casework as installed. Solar analysis, Wind analysis reports were used to discuss the orientation of the building. Building Animation, rendered images and walkthroughs were prepared in Navisworks, Revit and Lumion, respectively. Quantity take-offs were used to estimate the cost and to compare against the actual cost incurred.
